Nathan Leslie was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised in Ellicott City, Maryland. He has published five collections of short fiction: Rants and Raves, A Cold Glass of Milk, Drivers, and most recently, Reverse Negative, published in March, 2006 by Ravenna Press and Believers, published in September, 2006 by Pocol Press. Leslie’s poems and stories have been published or are forthcoming in over 100 literary magazines including North American Review, South Carolina Review, Cimarron Review, Baltimore Review, Tulane Review, Chattahoochee Review, Sou’wester, and Orchid. In addition, he has written numerous book reviews for such publications as The Kansas City Star, The Orlando Sentinel, Rain Taxi, and The Orange County Weekly.

Leslie is currently the fiction editor for The Pedestal Magazine and the editor-in-chief of The Potomac. Since 2002 he has taught composition, literature, and creative writing at Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling, Virginia. He lives with his wife, Julie, in Fairfax, Virginia.
